Flourish Australia Business Services is a division of Flourish Australia, one of Australia’s largest non-profit organisations that focuses on helping people with a lived mental health experience.
Our businesses operate under the Commonwealth Disability Employment Assistance Program which is commonly called Australian Disability Enterprises. This means we provide supported employment to people with disabilities and meet strict service standards to ensure real employment outcomes, including a fair wage.
We work with a large variety of clients, including Colgate Palmolive, 3M Australia, and Bremick along with financial institutions and government organisations such as Sydney Water. Our services range from specialised packaging and wrapping, to document scanning and archiving solutions, commercial cleaning and garden maintenance.
About Flourish Australia
Flourish Australia is the result of two well-known and respected organisations—Richmond Fellowship of NSW and Psychiatric Rehabilitation Australia (PRA)—merging in mid-2012.
The Richmond Fellowship of NSW was founded in the late 1960s in Sydney. It was inspired by the original Richmond Fellowship in the United Kingdom and its vision of community-based support for people with a lived experience as they moved from long term hospital stays to community living.
Psychiatric Rehabilitation Australia (PRA) started in 1955 as a volunteer-run organisation that provided social activities for patients in Sydney’s Callan Park Hospital. It also arranged rehabilitation services to support independent living in the community.
Together, Flourish Australia supports people with a lived mental health experience across NSW and South East Queensland and helps them be part of their local community. These services include help with employment, social activities and other aspects of mental health recovery.
